Engineering built in the field, in the contract and in the decision.
Mario Ferreira Rocha built his career on the front line of heavy engineering. Over decades, he worked in the management, coordination, supervision and oversight of major infrastructure, basic sanitation, water resources, hydropower, hospital and public building projects in Brazil, Portugal, Ecuador, Guatemala, Colombia and Iraq.
His career brings together experience in hydroelectric plants and dams, hydraulic and irrigation works, water supply, urban drainage and flood control, tunnels, bridges, subways, airports, steel mills, railways, hospitals, foundations, falsework and large civil structures.
He has worked across every phase of a project — from planning to delivery — leading multidisciplinary teams, with contract management, quality, schedule and cost control, and direct relationships with public and private clients.
More than a technical resume, his work represents the combination of field, planning, contract, people management and decision-making in high-pressure environments.
What sets senior technical leadership apart
Hands-on field experience
Real command of execution: concrete, steel, excavation, formwork, falsework and on-site productivity.
Engineering and contract vision
Integrated reading of technical solution, contractual scope, costs and implementation risks — including FIDIC contracts.
Multidisciplinary leadership
Coordination of teams, contractors, suppliers and supervision on projects with thousands of workers.
International experience
Projects in Brazil, Europe and Latin America, adapting to different technical and regulatory contexts.
Executive dialogue
Engagement with clients, contractors, designers, supervision and public agencies.
Decision under pressure
The seniority to decide at critical moments, when improvisation comes at a high cost.
